Position Summary

The Vault Operations Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for the overall management and efficient operation of the Vault Department. Duties include providing strategic direction and support to the Vault Department and all its employees, meeting contractual obligations, and ensuring excellent customer service.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

-Provides leadership, direction and support to the Department and keeps the General Manager informed of the status of operations at all times.

-Is knowledgeable in Company and Departmental policies and procedures and compiles and analyzes data from staffing and statistical reports to identify trends to drive measurable and sustainable improvements within the Department. Continuously evaluates the Department's operational performance and makes recommendations for process improvements.

-Ensures and enforces compliance with all Department and Company policies and procedures and relevant contractor or governmental rules and regulations.

-Makes sure all team members are trained in and provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

-Ensures that time cards are accurate and completed on a timely basis for all Department employees. Monitors attendance and overtime and addresses issues proactively.

-Conducts performance evaluations on all direct reports and ensures that all Department employees are evaluated and that evaluations are reviewed with employees by their anniversary dates or sooner. Performance evaluations must be completed according to the standards established by Human Resources.

-Monitors employee performance and reviews and approves any corrective measures through counseling, coaching and disciplinary action. Reviews, trains, coaches and guides direct reports to follow through with any performance objectives to ensure that all Department employees are performing their duties to the best of their abilities and are achieving their fullest potential.

-Identifies training and development needs of Department employees and proactively seeks resources to facilitate their growth and development.

-Comprehensive knowledge of all Vault customer service agreements and regularly reviews service expectations to ensure all terms are being met. Communicates regularly with customers to pre-empt customer complaints as well as to promote PCI's services for the purpose of obtaining new business.

-Participates in the preparation and writing of requests for qualifications or requests for proposals, bids and contract negotiations.

-Assists and supports all other Departments as needed. The following are examples (not an all-inclusive list):

-Works closely with and supports the ATM and Armored Courier Department and Neighbor Island Branches as needed.

-Assists and supports the Department's accounting staff and proactively addresses accounts payable and receivable issues.

-Works collaboratively with the Human Resources Department to ensure adequate staffing of the ATM Department.

-Coordinates and oversees special projects for PCI or its customers as needed.

-Serves as PCI Vault representative in satisfying all compliance requirements for any and all Vault related audits.

-Understands and ensures compliance with the following policies and procedures by all Department employees:

Company House & Safety Rules

-Complies with all Federal, State and local laws as applicable to the scope of duties and responsibilities.

-Maintains good personal hygiene and a professional appearance at all times and while in uniform, ensures uniform is clean and wrinkle free.

-Performs all duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

-Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs.

-Good at problem solving and analytical thinking.

-Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Outlook), Windows, and the use of the internet.

-Possess strong verbal and written communication skills.

-Excellent customer service skills.

-Good attention to detail and able to perform with a high degree of accuracy.

-Highly flexible and able to multi-task while maintaining a positive attitude.

-Must be able to pass a drug test and criminal and credit background check.

-Must be able to obtain and maintain additional security access cards (e.g., RapidGate, TWIC, etc.) as needed.

Education and/or Experience:

-Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four year college or university

-Or, two (2) to four (4) years related leadership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

-3 to 5 years of supervisory or management experience or equivalent.

-Previous bank and vault experience helpful.

Work Hours:

Work week is Monday through Friday, however, schedule requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays as business needs arise. Must be available on an on-all basis, 7 days a week, 24 hours a day.

Work Environment:

-The employee will be working in a highly secured area with limited access.

-Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts (cash counter machines).

-The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
