Compute basic arithmetic. Fluency in English both verbally and written. Provide legible communication and directions. Ability to: perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy. prioritize and organize. be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgement. follow directions thoroughly. understand guest’s service needs. work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team. work with minimal supervision. maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.Desirable:Some college or training in the Hospitality Industry. Previous experience as a Reservation Agent. Fluency in a foreign language, preferably Japanese. Ability to suggestively sell. Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers. Previous guest relations training.PHYSICAL ABILITIESEssential:Exert physical effort in transporting up to (50 pounds). Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. Reach 2 feet. Remain an upright or a stationary position for 8 hours throughout work shift. Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding.Desirable:ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.

Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment.

Use equipment only as intended.

Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.

Maintain positive guest relations at all times.

Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.

Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.

Maintain complete knowledge of: All spa/hotel facilities/services, hours of operation.

Availability for any given day.

Restricted dates.

All rates, packages and promotions.

Specific arrangements between hotel and travel agencies, corporate reservations center.

Entertainment/special events scheduled in the hotel.

Set up and maintain station.

Access all functions and maintain security of reservations computer system.

Maintain log book/memo board.

Sell spa/salon services.

Confirm treatment availability.

Update notes and guest history in computer system.

Book spa services packages into system.

Enter guest reservation into system.

Guarantee status.

Close reservation calls.

Process VIP reservations.

Book standing appointments.

Change reservations.

Process fax-reservations.

Process employee spa reservations.

Handle special guest requests.

Process cancellations.

Process complimentary spa treatments.

Place guests on wait lists as needed.

Review wait lists.

Process no shows.

Create and maintain group files.

Release block after group cancellation.

Schedule group spa treatments.

Issue gift certificates.

Mail spa information.

Close office.

Check out with Supervisor

Serve our guests.
