Established, unique small business is looking to hire a part-time Manager. We are the original painting party studio and have been in operation since 2011. We teach non-painters that they can let their inner artists shine in a safe and fun environment (wine helps, of course)!

Since we are small team, this role will encompass a lot of various aspects of the business:

Team management: (15% of your time)

Manager is responsible for leading 3-6 employees

Approving time off, scheduling work days

Following up on staff challenges

Regular Team communication

Continuing our open and supportive work environment

Operations management: (50% of your time)

Putting out our monthly class schedule

Working with our existing location partners and bringing on new ones

Inventory and ordering for supplies

Payroll: (5% of your time)

Twice monthly payroll processing

Keeping an eye on time cards and helping staff stay efficient

Marketing: (20% of your time)

Maintaining our Brand and offering suggestions to improve

Placing ads on social media and elsewhere

Issuing several Newsletters for client communication per month

Other: (10% of your time)

Other tasks as requested by an absentee Owner

While the variety of tasks is a lot, we're a micro business, so these tasks are usually accomplished in 3-4 hours a day, 5 days a week. Sometimes there's a little more work and other times it's a little quieter. This makes it easy to schedule around family or hobbies. We support a great work/life balance! This role will be in-office on a set schedule 5 days a week as well as available occasionally for scheduled weekend work. The hourly rate may seem low, but we offer a strong profit share so that you can control how much money you make. (If the business profits, so do you!) And, yes, we drink on the job here (though it's certainly not required).

We have a rock star Assistant Manager who is there to support this role and who manages all aspects of our private parties.

Who we're looking for:

You are a do-er! You like to get things done, so you don't have to worry about them on your time off. You work hard so you can enjoy your non-work "real" life. You might even be someone who's looking to have a better work/life balance than you currently have.

You're willing to adjust to meet existing processes, but will offer suggestions for improvement when you see them. You probably aren't an artist (though, you might be), but you've been curious about art. You have a favorite artist and a favorite wine. You enjoy the people you work with and might even call them "friends". You're a .gif loving Slack user, probably with a wry sense of humor.

You love clients - you understand that even the annoying client is one that we need and you help the clients have the very best experience. You not only like Marketing, but you LOVE it, you might even dream in marketing flyers occasionally. You have experience as an Assistant Manager, Project Manager or Manager and have brought improvement to the businesses you've worked for with numbers to back that up. You're looking for something fun to do, maybe even a new hobby, and are willing to take control of your own compensation through increasing sales.
