This position is great for anyone who wants to work with people with disabilities, teachers, coaches, mentors, counselors, or people with business experience.

Hours and locations vary. Pay starts at $15 per billable hour, but experience and skillset may be considered for a higher pay rate. Part-time hours are available now, but full-time may be available in the near future.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Job Coach/Employment Mentor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma, equivalent, and/or the ability to demonstrate the ability to read, write, and implement training programs for people with developmental disabilities. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds. You must pass an Idaho State Criminal and/or Department of Health and Welfare Background Check. Fluent in the English language.

PURPOSE: To provide direct service to persons with developmental disabilities.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Establish a relationship with employers and participants. Become familiar with pertinent information on each individual.

Support and follow the direction of a Vocational services professional.

Assure compliance with and all other safety requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Channel concerns, questions and information to vocational services professionals.

Develop working relationships with vendors, VR, professionals, etc.

Provide leadership to co-workers, model learned skills and give feedback as needed.

Assume responsibility for clients when designated to do so.

Problem-solve and make programmatic suggestions when appropriate.

Attend all trainings

Attend supervision

Participant in observations

Attend orientations on vocational services

Maintain all licenses and certifications

PROGRAMMATIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Follow service-specific rules

Become familiar with formal programs and data collection systems.

Collect data as programs are run correctly.

Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team as needed.

Assist as designated by the supervisor.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

Complete an update CPR/First Aid Training.

Maintain satisfactory performance on annual evaluation.
