Full Time Nanny Position (Boise)

Our family is looking for a full-time nanny to provide in home care for our five-month-old son Monday “ Thursday. We are located in north east Boise. A suitable candidate will have demonstrated experience providing a safe, educational, and caring environment for young children. This individual must love taking care of young children and be passionate about early childhood development. We view this as a long-term position and extension of our family, with one of the utmost important roles in caring for our son. We are looking for a professional who will honor and respect this position and our preferences.

The first priority of this position is the care for our child, however as time permits throughout the day, we hope this individual will be able to take on light household responsibilities such as doing the childs laundry, cleaning any bottles / dishes used, and basic cleanup and organizing of childs bedroom and play areas.

Moms maternity leave ends the first part of August and she will be returning to work four days a week. Mom will work predominately from home. We hope to find a suitable candidate that can start in mid to late July allowing us to get to know each other before the full-time position starts in August. We currently estimate the need for help between the hours of 8:00am and 5:30pm, Monday through Thursday. We are looking for someone who is reliable but also flexible as our schedule can be variable at times. We have budgeted up to $15/hr for this position for an candidate that has commensurate experience.

Responsibilities include: Managing and executing daily routines (naps, awake times, changing diapers, feeding, prepare / clean bottles, etc.), Active engagement with child including developmental activities, reading, outdoor walks, etc., Keeping the childs toys, bedroom / play areas and all supporting equipment (e.g., bottles, dishes, chairs, clothes, etc.) clean and organized , Keeping an open and consistent dialogue with parents on childs progress, schedule, preferences, etc. , As time permits, light housework, dinner preparation and occasional errand runs

We are looking for Qualities that include; Trustworthy and honest, Patient and caring, Flexible and adaptable, Engaging and energetic, Able to multitask, emotionally mature and able to, navigate stressful situations, Strong judgment skills, thoughtful planning, and organized.

Candidate qualifications include; High school graduate/GED or higher, Proven child care experience with three references, Background check required, First Aid and CPR certification, Drivers license, up to date insurance, reliable transportation, and safe driving record, Further training in child care and development, such as, a formal nanny training program, early childhood classes and/or in-service training preferred. Someone who is bi or tri lingual is a bonus.
