IBM Sterling OMS Engineer

As a talented IBM Sterling OMS engineer, you will spearhead our application development process and support our existing applications and systems.This full-time position reports to the Growth Technology Manager and is expected to work in a hybrid model, which currently includes Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday in-office.What you’ll do: Design, configure, and maintain IBM Sterling Order Management System workflows and business processesDevelop and optimize order orchestration flows, fulfillment rules, and inventory visibility logicConfigure and tune Sterling Inventory Visibility module for optimal performanceDevelop custom extensions and modifications using Sterling's Java-based frameworkCreate and maintain custom agents, services, and APIs within the Sterling ecosystemWrite and optimize database queries and stored procedures supporting OMS operationsImplement event-driven architectures leveraging Sterling's event frameworkMonitor system performance and identify bottlenecks in order processing and inventory synchronizationImplement performance tuning strategies for high-volume transaction processingTroubleshoot complex technical issues spanning OMS, integrations, and database layersWhat you bring to the table: 5+ years of hands-on experience with IBM Sterling Order Management System (Sterling OMS/Sterling Commerce)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or equivalent academic achievement or equivalent experienceStrong understanding of order management lifecycle, fulfillment logic, and inventory management conceptsProblem solving, analysis and ability to work under minimal supervisionTrack record of delivering results within established timelinesStrong communication skills and experience of working with diverse and remotely distributed teamsDemonstrated experience designing and implementing complex Sterling workflows and business processesProficiency in Java development within the Sterling frameworkExperience with SOAP/REST Web Services, messaging, and event-based architectureExperience with Shell Scripts, XML, JSON, and JMS compliant queuesKnowledge of IBM Sterling Implementation Framework (for OMS and Call Center applications)Knowledge of SDLC methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, Lean, and Scrum etc.Commitment to learning new technologies, completing training, acquiring certifications and being an impact player About Us: Balsam Brands is a global, omnichannel retailer with roots in holiday and home décor. Please note that placement within the posted salary range is based on several factors, including geographic location, experience, skills, alignment with role requirements and other job-related factors.
