This means conducting business with integrity, accountability, and professionalism while supporting our global community.The Process Engineer role is responsible for monitoring the health of their assigned processes, ensuring high-quality output, and providing proactive redundancy plans for bottlenecks that could impact Fab cycle time (CT) or turns. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Safety & Quality:

Completes all required safety training and conducts all work in accordance with safety policies and regulations

Follows-up on safety and quality related issues immediately and works towards resolution with stakeholders

Performs and facilitates audits and submits good catches on safety issues

Proactively reduces incidents of personal injuries, safety hazards or environmental releases

Follows proper change management practices to ensure safety and quality expectations are met

Ensures proper tool documentation/reaction mechanisms exist for shift teams and submits updates to content when needed

Maintains a constant improvement program for defect reduction / yield improvement

Communication & Collaboration:

Partners with shift teams to resolve tool process issues and maximize tool output

Collaborates with supervisor and areas leaders to create personal performance and development goals

Communicates proactively with MDE shift and Shift Ops leaders on the daily priorities and issues

Attends and participates in DAM, TPM Teams, SPC, Transfer and other meetings

Partners with Equipment Engineers and shift Engineers/Technicians to gather input for area improvement

Communicates changes made to equipment and follows business rules for change control

Partners with HVMs in data collection, gap analysis, and improvement implementation as part of Benchmarking and transfer activities

Proactively communicates issues that could cause yield loss, excursions, defects, tool restrictions, or output loss

Coordinate with Process Development Engineering, Process Integration, and Shift Ops on process issues and changes

Partners with Shift Ops, SOT and the IE team to ensure existing process holds are minimized

Proactively communicates known impacts of special processing requests and potential process holds to Shift Ops and SOT Area Managers

Technical/Data Analysis:

Writes and modifies recipes to enable efficient tool processing and experimentation

Analyzes data to make critical decisions and drive cost reduction activities

Resolves CT/capacity related issues in the area (redundancy, target reduction, sample plans, RPT issues, etc.)

Monitors equipment usage and production efficiency to ensure max output and turns

Provides QDR documentation and proactive follow-up on issues

Responds to chronic SPC performance issues by driving to fix root cause

Provides troubleshooting support for complex process problems and address root causes

Ensures the quality process of daily operations, communicate process holds, and formulate action plans

Maintains matching and drives for process consistency

Effectively plans for required capacity and product mix by ensuring equipment is capable of running variance as projected

Provides effective and timely guidance to resolve equipment issues and is highly engaged in key problem resolution

Project Management/Planning:

Manages projects to ensure deliverables are completed within the required scope, schedule and budget

Tracks actions and provides escalation path or resources to ensure actions will be completed on time

Drives shift team to focus on priority issues and stay within the scope of the project

Coordinates and leads meetings and initiates follow-up actions

Supports department business processes for new tool installations, as well as existing tool modifications or removals

Successful Candidates must have the following Qualifications:

Advanced PC skills including a familiarity with MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MICAP, Ariba, and MAXIMO

Advanced understanding of the process flow related to area equipment

Strong leadership skills with the proven ability to coordinate efforts across a variety of groups

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to efficiently organize teams and projects

Proven ability to lead and coordinate meetings and initiate follow-up actions

Strong partnering, negotiation and teamwork skills

Advanced understanding of the Fab process areas including area processing equipment

Strong understanding of SPC principles

Strong understanding of the use and risks of GeRM

Intermediate understanding of Probe and Param functions

Proven ability to communicate and present effectively to all audiences

Intermediate data extraction, analysis, and reporting skills

Proven ability to multi-task complex projects

Proven ability to troubleshoot complex problems and address root causes

Intermediate understanding of physics, area chemistry, and algebraic concepts

Strong analytical problem solving skills

Proven time management, organization, and prioritization skills

Proven ability to troubleshoot issues related to process flows

Proven ability to follow procedures and work with minimal supervision

Education and Experience:

Required: BS degree in science or engineering or equivalent experience

Preferred: 2+ years in an engineering position
