NorLab Operations Manager

Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our NorLab Operations Manager position. The NorLab Operations Manager is responsible for all aspects of NorLab operational quality and production activities, as applicable related to specialty gas filling, shipping, distribution, and equipment maintenance. Responsible for the effective utilization of cylinder and equipment assets and available resources. Role involves comprehensive operational direction, quality management, and regulatory compliance. Decision making includes prioritizing based on previous experience and specialized technical expertise. Impact to organization includes potential for significant regulatory, operational, legal, reputational and safety implications. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assure timely and accurate communication with Sales/Customer Service and Laboratory staff regarding current order status, lead times for product inquiries, product availability and other technical mattersIdentify operational efficiencies in gas operations and implementing change initiatives to improve productivity and control costs  Ensure regulatory compliance, excellent maintenance procedures and a safe and efficient operation of filling processesDirect all training surrounding company policies and applicable FDA, OSHA, DOT, ISO and/or other applicable accreditation and regulatory bodiesHire, discipline, and terminate staff as needed.  Coordinate staffing schedules, track employee attendance, punctuality, and vacation time.Control inventories of raw materials to meet sales demandsAssist in new product developmentRegularly report status of key performance measurements  Plan and request budget approval of departmental expenditures  Follow Safe work practices in performance of all duties and follow the company’s safety policies dailyStay informed of and adhere to company policies and procedures Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary
