Simplot Company is a true farm-to-table company with operations that touch every aspect of agriculture, including seed production, farming and ranching, plant sciences, fertilizer manufacturing, food processing, commercial product development, and distribution.SummaryThe Senior Marketing Manager is primarily responsible for the development and execution of Commercial segment marketing plans that support Simplot’s business objectives and enhances the relationship between Simplot and our current and prospective customers. In this role, the Senior Marketing Manager will be the interface between Product Marketing and Sales in delivering solutions that boost customer engagement, create Simplot brand advocates, and as a result, drive revenue. They support the organization by understanding priorities, identifying key business issues and translating into creative and effective marketing initiatives. They will also partner closely with Marketing Operations, Sales Planning, Culinary and Training to lead cross-functional project execution that accurately captures company and customer needs.Key Responsibilities

Drive, manage and accountable for a commercial segment marketing strategy

Create annual marketing plans with tactics to support brand, customer and product initiatives

Understand Account Based Marketing and build effective programs with strategic omni-channel execution

Approach work holistically with a solid understanding of product, portfolio, profitability and priorities

Maintain deep knowledge of market and segment trends and translate into actionable insights for sales

Know the customer journey and key touchpoints where you impact customer experiences

Partner with Sales Planning to identify high impact customer marketing opportunities

Develop and lead activation plans to support new product initiatives and marketing programs that drive customer engagement, contract renewals, referrals, and cross-sell and upsell opportunities

Successfully collaborate and lead cross-functional project teams

Evaluate marketing plan performance and recommend improvements

Track and measure initiatives to determine effectiveness and the ROI of customer marketing efforts

Provide direction to outside creative agencies and work closely to develop content and marketing collateral

Maintain Simplot Food Group’s brand standards for all marketing content (internal & external)

Participate in relevant segment/industry associations and conferences/tradeshows

Manage assigned annual marketing budget for maximum return on investment

Conduct market visits with Simplot Sales team to drive alignment with customer strategy, understand the customer and validate marketing program effectiveness

Successfully manage competing priorities and projects to deliver profitable, strategic plans

Act as coach and mentor to others on the Marketing team

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field from 4-year college or university required

Relevant Experience

5+ years’ experience, foodservice marketing experience preferred

Ability to travel 20% of timeincluding travel to conferences, customer meetings and facilities in North America

Demonstrated knowledge of marketing principles and strategy development

Proven business acumen skills, understand and apply P&L financials, analyze data and apply to marketing strategies

Working knowledge of marketing automation as part of Account Based Marketing preferred

Demonstrated ability to be a self-starter and proven ability to successfully multi-task and manage unexpected demands of daily activities, multiple priorities and projects at a time

Exceptional presentation skills, strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

Solid project management skills and demonstrated ability to manage large projects across boundaries

Proficiency using Microsoft Office programs
