Norco is currently seeking an individual to fill our Talent Acquisition Specialist position.The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for sourcing, screening and recommending candidates for open Norco positions. This individual will identify opportunities to build applicant pools, establish trust and partnerships with hiring managers, identify potential candidates through effective interviewing and testing, effectively administer phone screening and onboarding administrative tasks while ensuring a positive new hire experience. This role will be critical in hiring the best possible talent through sourcing strategies as well as developing new and creative sourcing ideas.Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Consult with leaders, hiring managers and human resource on position descriptions, requisition creation, compensation and sourcing strategies
  • Maintain an understanding of the differences between the various roles within Norco.
  • Gain strong knowledge of Norco’s Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and perform all work in the system as it relates to supporting hiring of open requisitions
  • Perform talent acquisition activities such as resume review, phone interviews, reference checks, and administrative documentation
  • Coordinate in person hiring management interviews
  • Respond timely to internal and external applicant communication
  • Determines applicant qualifications by initially screening applicants, analyzing communication responses and comparing qualifications to job requirements
  • Schedule onboarding orientation and complete new hire paperwork
  • Conduct regular follow-up with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruitment channels and implementation for current/future needs
  • Work closely with the HR team and staffing agencies to maximize effectiveness of recruiting process as well as follow-up with staffing agencies to resolve any issues that may occur
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations
  • Assist in the development and delivery of job offers once approved by hiring manager

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years administrative experience
  • Experience and/or exposure in human resources or the assigned area of responsibility preferred
  • Knowledge of basic human resources concepts and systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, marketing, presentation, interviewing and interpersonal skills
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with employees at all levels throughout the company
  • Strong team-oriented working style
  • Strong work ethic and sense of integrity, trustworthiness and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks
