Community Support Worker $15/hr for Woman with disability P/T (Boise Bench) - must be a College Student enrolled in one of the local colleges/universities in Social Work, Education or similar.

We are looking for a person (preferably female) to work with an Adult woman with a Developmental Disability for approximately 10-12 hours per week, with a starting salary of $15/hour. The hours will be approximately 4 pm to 8 pm on Tuesday evenings, and Saturdays from noon to 7 pm. Both evenings will involve preparing a meal for the two of you, and transportation to Special Olympics on Tuesdays and Baseball (spring/summer only) on Saturdays. Saturdays also involve some type of exercise (bike riding, YMCA, swimming, going to the park, etc).

Community Support Worker (CSW) Job Qualifications:
CSW must have experience working with persons with disabilities
Associates or College degree, or equivalent experience
Ability to pass criminal history through the Department of Health and Welfare
Valid Driver's license
Reliable vehicle with insurance to provide transportation to community activities for employer
Demonstrate patience in working with persons of varying abilities and disabilities;
Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employer, employees, community contacts, and family members
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Community Support Worker Job Description
The CSW will be required to provide the following tasks:
Personal Support: Provide support to help the employer maintain health, safety, and basic quality of life and meet goals identified in Support and Spending Plan (SSP).
Learning Support: Provide support to help the employer learn new skills or improve existing skills that relate to goals identified in Support and Spending Plan (SSP).
Job Support: Provide support to help the employer secure and maintain employment or attain job advancement.
Relationship Support: Provide support to help the employer establish and maintain positive relationships with immediate family members, friends, or others in order to build a natural support network and community.
Transportation Support: Provide transportation and transportation support to help the employer meet her SSP identified goals.
Documentation of Supports: The CSW must track and document the time required to perform the identified supports and accurately report the time on the time sheets provided by the employer. The CSW must submit the timesheet to his/her employer for signature and submission to Fiscal Employment Agent (FEA) based on attached time schedule provided by FEA.
Pay and Benefits: The rate of pay is $15.00 per hour. You are paid every two weeks, according to the time schedule provided to you by the FEA. You are paid two weeks in arrears. You must have your time sheet signed and submitted by the specified dates to ensure payment at the next payroll day. If you have not worked at all during the two week payroll period, you will not receive payment for those two weeks. You are only paid for the actual hours you work. This job does not offer paid vacation or insurance benefits
Before a CSW can begin work the following steps must be completed:
Completed and signed employment agreement
Submission of criminal history check to Department of Health and Welfare, or documentation that criminal history check has been waived by employer.
Initial Documentation: Prior to providing goods or services to the participant the CSW must complete the packet of information provided by the fiscal employer agent and submit to the employer.
