HomeRiver Group is looking for a solution oriented problem solver to join our Maintenance Technician team in the Property Services Group. We are looking for a results driven, skilled technician who can perform a variety of general maintenance and repair work on residential single and multi family properties. The candidate will be responsible for making needed repairs on both occupied and unoccupied units on our client owned properties.

Core Duties include:

Inspect properties to document condition and itemize list of needed repairs.

Perform general maintenance and repairs to include light plumbing and electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, etc.

Diagnose, repair, and install appliances.

Inspect and replace smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors as needed.

Detailing specific scope of work performed and itemizing parts used and time logged to ensure accurate records and billing.

Work closely with coordinator to maximize effectiveness and efficiency of resources.

Maintain company vehicle, as well as parts and inventory.

Knowledge and Skills:

Demonstrated experience asÂmaintenance technician.

High level of critical thinking/problem solving skills to diagnose issues and recommend solutions.

Self starter with ability to work independently.

Ability to operate with a sense of urgency.

Ability to manage time and projects to ensure completion in allotted time.

Experience with repair and installation of basic light plumbing and electrical, appliances, drywall repair, painting, carpentry, rekeying locks, and other general repairs.

Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.

Ability to use an iPad and other technology as needed in the performance of daily tasks to maintain schedule, accurate service ticket notes, system updates, inspections, etc.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent

Prior experience in restoration, construction, maintenance/handyman industries preferred

Prior inspection or rekey experience a plus

Certificate in HVAC a plus

A valid driver's license, reliable mode of transportation and automobile insurance are required
