Established company is in need of a skilled, responsible individual with experience in warehouse inventory efficiency and quality control. Must be organized and focused with high organizational skills. Requires lifting, carrying, pulling and/or moving between 20 and 50 pounds periodically over workday. Requires kneeling, squatting, crouching, crawling and bending, often in low places.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Oversees the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods.

Ensures workplace health and safety requirements are met and takes responsibility for the security of the building and stock.

Plans the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organizes special requirements for certain stock, such as chilled foods or fragile products.

Ensure productivity targets are met and maintain computerized administration and automated storage & retrieval systems.

Motivates, organizes and encourages teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met.

Communicates with other departments, staff groups and customers.

Oversees stock control and processing orders while ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives are met.

Ensures that the objectives and directions from the operation's headquarters are always met.

Responds to customer communication by email, fax and telephone.

Takes inventory on a regular basis, keeps stock control systems up to date and plans future capacity requirements.

Produces regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

Briefs team leaders on the issues for that particular day.

Ensures products sent to customers are in good condition.

Oversees the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.

Provides reports on all orders with Order Confirmations.

Communicates with CEO/Owner on coordination of sales, equipment and deliveries.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of proper safety & security procedures

Ability to drive forklift and other vehicles as needed

Exceptional leadership and motivational skills

Ability to inventory, document and accurately track products and plan for future needs

Knowledge of inventory software and tracking tools

Education/Experience:

2 to 5 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving experience

Certified to operate forklift

Microsoft Office Programs: Word and Excel

Physical Capabilities:

Ability to climb up/down ladders

Ability to drive forklift and vehicles as needed

Ability to lift 50 pounds and/or operate dollies, lifts and other machinery to lift excessive weight

Ability to sit, stand, crawl, bend, climb
