Sweetwood Custom Cabinets is a truly custom cabinet shop specializing in high quality, custom tailored, and well thought out cabinetry. We have been in business for over 40 years because of our commitment to our customers and the pride that we take in what we create. We are open for business, considered an essential business, and do not predict any downturns from COVID-19 in the future. With recent changes in management, our marketing strategy, and the purchase of a larger building we are currently experiencing and expecting more growth in the future and are looking for another talented person to grow with us.
We are in search of an experienced (or at least enthusiastic to learn) cabinet designer/estimator to join our team. The job is mostly designing and estimating using industry specific software on a computer. Designers will also spend a fair amount of time meeting with customers in their homes or our showroom to better understand the customers’ needs and spot potential challenges specific to the job site. We specialize mostly in high-end remodels so we have a lot of chances to create new and unique designs for customers that typically have larger budgets, higher standards of quality, and homes from every decade and style of the last 120 years. We are hoping to find someone that understands and can appreciate both trendy newer styles as well as having an appreciation for styles of the past (yes, even the 70’s). Working mainly in remodels also means that we encounter more challenges than with new homes because some older homes may not be built to modern codes and some floor layouts were not originally designed around more modern uses. If you are a creative person that likes to learn and challenge yourself this may be the job for you.
Salary: $35,000-$45,000
