Hello! Our church, Plymouth Congregational, is small, progressive and very friendly. Many people, including those who identify as LGBTQ+, have found a home with us. The members want the church to have more influence in the community than it does now. Although changes have not been made to the music program in a long time, our members have expressed eagerness for something new.
We aren't particular about any style of music and we aren't looking for someone who can play a specific instrument. Anyone who can only sing, or play an instrument or who have talents in both areas are welcome to apply. The people are open to just about anything. We need someone who can lead us in the music we currently know (mostly hymns) and teach us new songs.
Excluding travel time, you would probably spend 2-3/week working for us. Being a Christian is not necessary. However, the applicant should want to be with us and be able to get behind our mission and values as a congregation.
