Edgewood Plantation Place is looking for a full time "HUC" or Health Unit Coordinator. The HUC will perform various activities and non-clinical clerical tasks/services in accordance with our company and regulations for Assisted Living by assisting our RN and Director with the following;
-Running a front office in all fashions; this is the face our residents, family members, and families see first
-maintain and prepare accurate report of resident admissions and discharge
-monitor all medical and personnel records to insure files are in compliance, complete, accurate and comply with regulations
-work with other departments to provide chart forms and sustain proper order and assistance
-assist in coordination with labs, home health, hospice and RN duties where delegated
-assist with scheduling and transporting residents to medical appointments
-perform accounting actions; including AR and deposits
-Answer a multi-line phone, take messages and follow up as necessary
and so much more
Minimum Requirements:
-High computer competency
-must be able to read and understand basic medical terminology
-must be familiar with AR/Data Entry
-must be available 8:30am-5:00pm Monday through Friday
-must have a good sense of humor and be people friendly
-must be able to lift, bend, carry, stand on your feet for long amounts of time
-must be able to pass a federal background clearance (we will pay for it)
-must have a valid drivers license and be willing to transport our residents three days a week as needed
