Cascade River Gear is NOW HIRING! We have 1 full-time seasonal position available for immediate hire. We are looking for people with a passion for the outdoors, we would love to have candidates that have a passion for whitewater rafting although that is not required. Retail sales and customer service is a must. We have an amazing clientele that expects and deserves 5 star services at all times!

Requirements:

Able to multi-task and problem solve. There is always an answer to any challenge we may encounter, ask and we will help you.

Ability to see what needs to be done and do it, there is always something that needs to be done in a retail store, you should be able to see it and get it done without being directed constantly. Sitting or strolling through the store, gazing out windows is not how we operate. Please know we are all so passionate about what we do it's easy to see what needs to be done if you are looking and we are happy to help you learn that skill.

We adore our customers they are family, over the top customer service is what we are looking for. We are not looking for seat warmers, taking a seat is not something you should be doing very often. We are on our feet all day helping our customers and it's the most fun part of our J.O.B.

Being well spoken, we do not expect you to know everything when you walk in the door, none of us know everything, what we do expect is that you know how to share that we will find the answers the customer is looking for and get back to those customers in a timely fashion.

We have an amazing clientele, they are fun and understanding so as long as you can communicate that you will assist them and follow through with your promise you will find they are patient and fantastic to work with.

Computer literate is a MUST; we work in a POS (Point of Sale) system as well as Word and Excel.

Follow through on projects is also a must, again, caring for our customers and delivering what we promise is very important to our success as a team.

Team work, we are a close group and we totally adore our river tribe, we always welcome new members to our team. We need our new hires to be of the same mindset. This is more than just a J.O.B. to us and we expect our newest members to feel the same.

You MUST be willing to help out in any area that is needed, you will lift a lot of items that are heavy, you will help both our team and our customers move items. This is a requirement as well.

Saturdays are a requirement through the season, this is not negotiable. We are open from 10-5p on Saturdays and 9-6p Monday through Friday. Your schedule will fluctuate depending on the week and events scheduled; schedules are written for the month so you will have time to schedule play too.

You MUST HAVE FUN! When we are having a great time doing what we do it makes the days fly by and the spirits remain high. This is a fantastic business we have, we also believe that having fun is what makes us so successful. We work hard and play all at the same time, we have great attitudes and that is contagious. If you don't have the same mindsets please do not apply.

Pay is to be determined by experience levels.

Our goal remains to develop, design, and search out all of the best whitewater equipment and crafts available.
