Job Summary: The Network Switching and Routing Engineer/Administrator is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the network infrastructure of an organization. d other networking devices from vendors such as Aruba and Cisco to ensure efficient and reliable network connectivity. They work closely with other members of the IT team, including network architects, security engineers, and system administrators, to ensure that the network infrastructure meets the organization's needs. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network switching and routing infrastructure using Aruba and Cisco equipment
  • Configure and troubleshoot Aruba and Cisco network switches, routers, and other networking devices
  • Ensure network security by implementing appropriate security measures, including firewalls and access control policies on Aruba and Cisco devices
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network connectivity issues on Aruba and Cisco devices
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to design and implement network-related projects using Aruba and Cisco technology
  • Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and standard operating procedures for Aruba and Cisco devices
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and best practices from Aruba and Cisco
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for network-related issues outside of normal business hours on Aruba and Cisco devices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • 7+ years of experience in network switching and routing
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs
  • Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Wireshark and NetFlow
  • Knowledge of network security principles and best practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CCNA or CCNP certification
  • Experience with Cisco networking equipment
  • Experience with cloud networking, such as AWS or Azure
  • Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN) technologies using Aruba and Cisco equipment
