Door to door alarm sales is a very competitive industry and if you have the nerve to knock on someone's door and sell them an alarm, you can make a LOT of money. However there are some companies (ADT, Vivint, etc.) that have gotten in the habit of nickel and diming their reps because after years of success they have learned that they can. Their recruiting ads promise benefits and promotions and cell phones and many other things to distract you from the fact that their commissions are crap. Plain and simple they will pay you crap because they can. I make $1200 per sale.
