How do I install power windows in my 1954 chevy truck (the instructions suggest cutting holes in the door panels); or assembling my 1960 Dodge town wagon (does the hemi still run after all these years?); or starting on the 1958 Sweptside (restomod or stock?). My projects overwhelm me at times, yet I keep finding more. As I have entered my four-score years of age I do not plan on slowing down. How about you? Then there is the whole job of keeping the shop organized, clean, and functional. Thank goodness for the part-time helpers in the shop.
I am looking for someone to help me put these projects together. This winter I am also looking to add building a camper in a Dodge Promaster van (have to find one first). Does it ever end? No. But it is all fun; because I have no customers with deadlines … only me (who is mostly clueless about the direction I am taking this week).
This is full-time, Monday to Friday, daytime hours. About 40 hours, or slightly less if that works better in your time frame. These projects involve mechanic flairs. Do you enjoy doing mechanical projects? Do you want to control the projects you work on with my minimal oversite (i.e., I am in the shop about half the time … sometimes lazy, sometimes vacation). Read on …
Would you be interested in working in an office/shop located in a warehouse environment looking out at the Boise River in Garden City? Do you want to work for an “old guy” who appreciates your help in his vintage vehicle restoration business? How about a small company, with just a couple of employees? Do you want to be the primary helper for the owner (Larry … that’s me)? If you could have flexibility in your hours, would that catch your attention?
All of that is possible, and maybe more, at my company. I (Larry the old guy) have been doing this for many, many years … and it all works! The people who have helped me in this business are great folks; they have made an interesting and enjoyable group. I require that we are drug free (no nicotine), clean language, casual in our dress, and pleasant to be around. We understand and encourage support of your child’s school/activities if that is part of your life. I am a grandfather so I make it a point to encourage this interest. Are you also a person like this?
I would like to find a person who fits into this atmosphere. Tell me if you are interested by responding with an email via craigslist. I will attempt to respond to all inquiries if that is possible (depends on the volume and intelligence of the inquiries).
If you are looking for a full-time job, this is the ad to pursue. This is a job that should easily fit your schedule. Maybe you are a person who wants to work while your kids are in school, or you have retired but need to get out of the house, or want to try something new and different, or just need a couple of extra bucks? If you are looking for something to do during the week-days, and like working in a warehouse/shop, and can handle working with an old guy then maybe this should be considered.
Check me out at my website www.classicidaho.com.
Thanks for any response and consideration, Larry.
