Construction Project Manager

Eagle Rock Timber is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Project Manager for our Idaho Falls office. This position will provide overall coordination and management of various construction projects for all phases of work from the notice of award through close out. Projects will consist of infrastructure upgrade, roadwork, bridges, commercial and industrial buildings Projects range from $50k to $5M. Public Works experience is a plus.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Exhibits high level ability to interpret plans and specifications.

Develop and oversee submittal process (provide submittal schedule with dates).

Being able to multi-task a must. Candidate will be dealing with superintendents and subcontractors on various projects on an hourly basis.

Ability to develop project budgets.

Be accountable for project cost/budget variance and profitability.

Ability to develop and continually update project schedules.

Works with Project Superintendent for project needs for documentation, daily reports, logs, daily schedule, and clients concerns.

Ability to run the day-to-day management aspects of various projects.

Ability to control project scopes; negotiate changes to the scope of work with the client and key subcontractors.

Monitors and reports to management on the progress of all project activity including significant milestones, and any conditions, which would affect project cost or schedule.

Proficiency with all MS Office products.

Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of project stakeholders.

Experience, Skills, and Education:

Position prefers a minimum of 5 years of construction experience. Ability to read and understand blue prints, specifications and construction change directives. Requires strong presentation, good written and verbal communication skills as well as a positive and professional attitude. Ability to work with minimum of supervision is essential. Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
