Hello,
I have a friend that is in need of a "live-in" caregiver as soon as possible. He is a 52 year old retired Hollywood actor and stunt man of 33 years that has become disabled. He has been in many movies in his career, and has amazing stories to tell that will keep you talking for hours! He's the sweetest, kindest man you could ever have the pleasure of knowing. But he has a serious issue He is currently living with a very abusive caregiver. She is physically, mentally and verbally abusive to him. He is extremely depressed, but has no way out of the situation. He is still very active in a wheelchair, and doesn't want the state of Idaho to put him in a nursing home and take his money and the company that he owns. So he is trapped in the situation. Either lose everything, or stay and get abused So he chooses to stay in the situation at this moment
He's done it all over the years. "Dances with Wolves" "Saving private Ryan", and much more. But he's known more for Sci-Fi. He's been in everything from Star Trek TNG/Deep Space Nine/Voyager/Enterprise, and several movies. He's been a Klingon, a Romulan, and even a Borg. So that would be great if you already are a fan of these shows. Would give you a great starting point. He was even in Stargate SG-1 for ten years and in some of the Transformer movies. So you can imagine the conversations you can have with him.
He's not looking for some professional that will look at him as a paycheck. He's tired of being looked at as nothing more than just a profit margin, like some people see the disabled out here.
Female preferred. Age not really an issue. Single preferred. This is for a good reason. It's a "live-in" position, and he needs someone that will be there long term that won't up and leave, and leave him in a lurch with no caregiver if your family decides to move. He's looking for someone that will care about him as a person, not a meal ticket. There isn't much to do with the man. he doesn't need lifting or toileting or anything serious. You are just helping him stay free and independent, and keeping the state from getting their hands on him. Cushy job really Just some minor cooking and cleaning, and helping him with his meds. You would have to have a current driver's license, but you would have access to his vehicles.
No qualifications needed! You must pass a background check, but that's it. (No Felons)
