Dietary Cook/Institutional Setting
24/7 Assisted Living Facility located in Rigby, Idaho
IMMEDIATE PLACEMENT NEED
Saturday/Sunday (9:00 am-6:00 pm Shift)
Compensation: To Be Determined based on Experience
Rural Assisted Living Facility is a 23-bed assisted living facility located just east of Rigby, Idaho. We specialize in special needs residents including but not limited to those with mental illness, schizophrenia, alcoholism, and traumatic brain injury. These are 24/7 assisted living facilities.
Our newly remodeled facility provides an excellent opportunity for those looking to transition from a restrictive environment and into the community. The average stay for our residents can range from a few months to life-long care. The facility is located in a country setting, yet provides daily access to day treatment programs, developmental therapy and transportation to other medical and counseling appointments.
We are a busy assisted living facility serving up delicious meals daily for two separate facilities; 23/bed and a 9/bed (plus supporting staff). We are in need of an experienced cook to join our energetic team.
Position Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner
Follow recipes and presentation specifications
Menu planning and record keeping
Restock items as needed throughout the shift
Assist with the cleaning and organization of kitchen and equipment
Clean and maintain station in practicing good safety and sanitation
Operate standard kitchen equipment safety and efficiently
Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes
Creative, Open-Minded, helpful and compassionate
Able to cook and prepare great food
Minimum Qualification Requirements:
High school diploma or a GED certificate.
Must be physically able to perform the essential job functions
Must be able to complete and pass a background check.
Must be able to work day/night shifts as needed (24/7 hour facility)
