The Idaho Crop Improvement Association seeks motivated individuals to assist with the inspection of certified seed potato fields in eastern and central Idaho. No previous experience is required and training will be provided; however, successful candidates must be able to learn to identify potato diseases.
A good work ethic and the ability to pay attention to detail are required. You must be a self-starter, cooperate well in a team, and demonstrate the ability to stay productive with minimum supervision. A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and proof of vehicle insurance is required. This work will require full days of trekking across uneven potato fields often bent over to collect samples. You will be working in the Idaho outdoors so you must be able to endure heat, sun, wind, cold, etc.
The position is full-time (M-F, 40 hours per week). Term of employment begins approximately 7/1/20 and will continue until the completion of field inspections in early September. Starting wage is $12.50 per hour with mileage reimbursement at the current IRS rate. Individuals who would be willing and able to return in subsequent seasons are preferred but not required.
Interested individuals should contact Colton Thurgood (208) 522-9198. No texts.
