This position, under the general direction of the Director of Alumni Programming and Operations, plans, coordinates, executes and evaluates events and programs that support the mission of the University of Idaho Office of Alumni Relations. Key responsibilities include: planning and overseeing on-campus events alumni events, managing reunions of 100 or fewer people, supporting signature alumni events, and providing support to the Office of Alumni Relations programming. Minimum Qualifications:One year professional experience in event planning or related field. Experience in computer operation and software programs. Experience with techniques and procedures used in program development; e.g. budgeting, planning, managing, coordinating, administering and providing record keeping. Preferred Qualifications:Bachelors degree in public relations, marketing, communications or hospitality management. Demonstrated ability to:Manage a variety of projects simultaneously. Promote activities using skills such as writing, advertising and design. Perform and lead others in program related activities. Communicate effectively. Supervise others in program initiation, administration and evaluation. Serve as a liaison with other departments and institutions. Organize details of events. Knowledge of:University of Idaho students and traditions. The University of Idaho and state of Idaho.
