Enjoy working with animals. Cocking Pig Ranch, a 260-sow farrow to finish operation, is located south of Farmington WA in Latah County ID. Must be 18 years of age, good driving record, reliable transportation, and valid Driver's license. Dependable; ability to learn; take direction and desire to work in a farm environment.
General Repairs: Fences, waters, service equipment, auger system and other repairs as needed.
Remodel Hot Nursery: Install pen fencing; install and secure feeders; install waters to pens; install siding; paint inside walls and insulate.
Pump lagoon: Each fall pump manure onto crop ground using a sprinkler system.
General chores: Helping other employees move, weigh, sort, and process pigs. Learn everyone’s chores. Every 5th weekend you will have weekend chores. Must be able to drive a vehicle with a clutch.
Skills needed: Minor carpentry, minor plumbing, minor electrical wiring, and operating wheel tractor. Welding would be helpful. Must be able to lift 100#.
