Prospects for electrical workers employment in Idaho look positive, as the state is experiencing solid growth.
There is ongoing demand for residential, retail, commercial, and smaller industrial construction. Boises local members are working on several large projects in the area. The Pocatello local is working on projects that include a center for a major government organization and a large bank.
North of Pocatello, were working on a Department of Energy nuclear waste storage and reactor site.
We currently have substation and some transmission line work and expect more similar work in the near future.
Journeyman electrician wage and benefit rates are a little over $44/hour. Our members and their families enjoy excellent healthcare and retirement plans.
