OARS SUMMER JOB OPPORTUNITY: TRUCK AND VAN DRIVERS
OARS Dories is an outdoor adventure company based in the Lewiston Orchards. We run multi-day whitewater trips for over 1,000 passengers all over the state of Idaho from May to September.
We are currently hiring full time and part time drivers for the summer of 2019, from the end of May to the beginning of September.
Drivers transport crew and guests between Lewiston and the rivers for our multi day raft trips. In addition to driving the vehicle, drivers also assist and the crew with loading or unloading gear, doing a vehicle inspection prior to and after each drive, fueling the rigs and securing all loads.
OARS uses both trucks and 15 passenger vans, often with trailers with boats, to get to and from the river. Drive lengths vary from half day trips to Hammer Creek or Heller Bar, to two day drives where you camp at Corn Creek or Hells Canyon Dam. You must be able to safely lift 40 lbs, work in the summer heat and have an excellent driving record. CDL preferred, but not required. Must be 21 years or older and able to obtain a DOT Medical Certificate.

Pay depends on part time or full time status but averages at $13.50 an hour.
