Scentsy is looking for a Grounds Maintenance Supervisor to help ensure that the outdoor areas of all Scentsy owned properties are in optimum condition.You Would Do:
Supervise grounds-keeping staff who care for and maintain landscaping, i.e. controlling weeds, raking leaves, trimming bushes and trees, planting flowers and shrubs, and removing dead plants
Maintain existing landscape design and ensure plant survival
Monitor grounds for insect, disease, and weed problems and recommend and implement solutions
Maintain overall cleanliness of grounds by removing litter, debris, and brush from grounds and paring areas and cleaning out drains and manhole covers
Collect and remove trash and recycling
Perform or schedule repairs on grounds i.e. fencing, walls, signs, walkways, etc.
Monitor and maintain irrigation systems to ensure all areas are adequately watered; repair and replace sprinkler heads and lines as needed
Maintain walkways, driveways, and parking lots by removing snow and ice
Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained
Prepare grounds for seasonal changes by planting annuals, raking leaves, and fertilizing
Responsible for supervising employees which includes; hiring, firing, promotions, demotions, performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, and other employee related functions
Work collaboratively to install and remove seasonal decorations
Works with the facilities department as needed, including after-hours events as needed
Work closely with maintenance staff to schedule repairs
Perform all other assigned tasks and requirements as needed
You Should Have:
High school diploma or equivalent; Associates degree preferred
3 years of experience supervising a landscape, maintenance, or construction crew, or closely related experience
Valid driver's license wtih a clean driving record, required
Pesticide Applicator's license, preferred

You Should Be Able To:
Have a basic knowledge of trees, shrubs, and annual/perennial flower species and have basic knowledge of plant care and maintenance
Identify insects and disease in plants
Accurately estimate work load, delegate assignments
Have a basic knowledge of the proper use, application, and storage or fertilizers and pesticides
Have experience and knowledge of operating landscape maintenance equipment, i.e. lawn mowers, string trimmers, edger, power shears, etc.
Know the use and care of a variety of hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, hedge and brush trimmers, saws, and axes
Know the use and care of power equipment, such as lawn mowers, chain saws, electric clippers, pruning saws, sod cutters, and snow blowers
Knowledge of operation, maintenance, and repair of irrigation systems
Frequently bend, squat, stand, walk, push, and pull up to 100 lbs., reach above shoulder level, have both arms and
legs accessible, and perform manual dexterity
Ascend and descend stairs, step stools, ladders, scaffolding, platform ladders, or mechanically elevated devices and be comfortable around heights
Occasionally sit, climb, crawl, and kneel
Lift 100 pounds repeatedly daily
Frequently read, comprehend, write, perform basic mathematic calculations, communicate orally, reason, and analyze
