JOB SUMMARY:

Installs, configures, and maintains computer systems and associated peripheral equipment. Maintains operating efficiency and stability, ensures the security and integrity of systems and/or data, and responds to outages and other issues. Performs activities related to the administration and maintenance data, systems, infrastructure, and/or assigned technologies.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF ALL LEVELS:

  • Performs application administration activities. Creates, modifies, and deletes system users or groups, optimizes remote access, and/or security access for systems, database, and applications.
  • Performs installations, upgrades, patching, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, monitoring, and or configuration.
  • Manages applicable environments by monitoring alerts, troubleshooting, hardware and performance issues, provisioning, audit reporting, and patch management for assigned systems and/or technologies.
  • Manages, transforms, and provides user access to systems and/or data.
  • Maintains operating efficiency and stability of data, systems, and/or technologies. Ensures the security and integrity of all systems, data, and/or technology and responds to outages and/or other issues.
  • May develop processes and applications for migration/transformation of data or systems and provision for analytical use.
  • May maintain user accounts and permissions, and regulatory audit account permissions to minimize vulnerabilities.
  • May review software update release notes, ensure compatibility, and communicate feature changes, and schedule updates to the system.
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

IT Administrator I

Experience: None

Education: Must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, IT related field of study, or equivalent work experience International Degree equivalency
  • Applicable certification(s) as defined by the leader + 2 years additional experience
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or IT related field of study, + 2 years additional experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one year college)

Accountability/Complexity:

  • Work is closely supervised
  • Work is of limited scope, typically on smaller, less complex projects, task-related activities, or routine assignments

IT Administrator II

Experience: 2 years' related IT experience

Education: Must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, IT related field of study, or equivalent work experience
  • International Degree equivalency
  • Applicable certification(s) as defined by the leader + 2 years additional experience
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or IT related field of study, + 2 years additional experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one year college)

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develops and enhances processes and technical documentation
  • Responds and remediates system, data, and/or technology infrastructure availability and performance incidents

IT Administrator III

Experience: 4 years' related IT experience

Education: Must meet one of the following requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, IT related field of study, or equivalent work experience
  • International Degree equivalency
  • Applicable certification(s) as defined by the leader + 2 years additional experience
  • Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or IT related field of study, + 2 years additional experience (Two years' relevant work experience is equivalent to one year college)

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Develops plans, designs, and schedules of releases of software, hardware, and/or operation system updates.
  • Develops and exchanges processes and technical documentation with business units and enterprise architects
  • Maintains inventory of assists and needs
  • Designs, builds, tests, and supports systems or technology infrastructure and maintain system roadmaps
  • Researches and recommends appropriate technology solutions
