Ms. Gende willcoordinate your accommodation request with personnel at the local address specified above.An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer-EOE of Females/Minorities/Vets/DisabilityBenefits offered Posted Wage: $9.50 per hourJob Requisition Number: 10050 123119 CN9SSHWORequirementsJOB TITLE: Overnight House Manager DEPARTMENT: Emergency Housing IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: On-site Program CoordinatorGeneral Statement of Duties:The Overnight House Manager, under supervision of the On-site Program Coordinator, provides on-site monitoring and supervision of the facility, residents and non-residents, prepares breakfast and sack lunches, provides access to the medication room, washeshouse linens, as well as performing extensive cleaning and organization during the overnight operation hours of the shelter Monday through Friday nights.Responsibilities: Observe and regulate activities at the facility, ensuring rules and procedures are followed. Assign consequences and warnings, as needed. Supervise housekeeping duties, so that residential and other areas are kept clean. Maintain an accurate facility log each shift. Email the log to the On-site Program Coordinator, Case Manager and Housing Services Director. Attend required staff meetings and trainings.  Make any important notes in the Staff Communication Log and email to the On-site Program Coordinator, Case Manager and Housing Services Director. Make regular perimeter checks. Inform participants of the Day Resource Program of the 30 minute rule for services and enforce this policy. Ensure that the entire facility is clean and organized. This includes, but is not limited to, cleaning the kitchen (microwave, stovetop, grill, sinks, counter, dishwasher, etc.) and washing any dishes; placing utensils, plates, cups, bowls and cooking potsand pans in the proper place. Check the bread on the bread shelf for mold or expiration dates and throw away when appropriate, put away and organize food in the pantry and break down boxes. Clean and organize the following rooms on the corresponding days:Mondays the kitchen refrigerators, Tuesdays the linen room, Wednesdays the Donation closet, Thursdays the food pantry, and Fridays the kitchen freezer. Once a month clean the ice machine and shower curtains. See specific instructions on extra duty checklist. Wash facility laundry.  Work with residents or non-residents who arrive after curfew and after 6 am. Mediate conflict, as needed. Answer phones and collect and secure keys each morning before residents leave. Supervise resident intakes and exits, as needed. Work in conjunction with the Case Manager to meet the needs of the clients- Including referrals regarding specific client needs. Make lunches for all residents who are signed up for lunches nightly. Respond to any evening emergency & contact the Housing Services Director. Perform other duties, as determined by supervisor.Mission Statement of The Salvation ArmyThe Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the Universal Christian Church.
