The Night Auditor will balance daily operational activity in preparation of accounting summary reports.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Generate manual spreadsheets of daily individual and operational activity from the cash register ?Z - Tapes? and other sources.
Distribute and/or retrieve operating cash, charge tickets, ad report forms and other needed materials at the various operations cashier sites.
Post guest receivable charges into system.
Operate ticket system host computer in order to balance ticket cashiers and generate summary ticket sales reports.
Receive verbal and written information that reflects the operational needs of the various departments? personnel with whom this position interacts, and relay that information to the appropriate Manager.
Account for change fund balance.
Maintain a clean and safe office environment by participating in the vacuuming, dusting and other related functions, as well as maintaining adequate inventories of needed departmental office supplies.
Develop and distribute various reports as directed or as appropriate.
Other duties as assigned or as required ensuring the smooth and effective operation of the night audit function.
Knowledge, Information and Educational Requirements:
Possess a good working understanding of the basic Generally Accepted Accounting Principle, particularly as they relate to the hospitality/ resort setting.
Be bondable and have a clean person financial report.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent with additional scholastic training in related fields or equivalent experience.
Able to perform 10-Key by touch.
Be certifiable ?drug free?.
