Rodeo Internet, LLC. Is expanding to Southern Idaho and we are looking for a positive and hardworking individual to join the team to provide installation and local troubleshooting support. They will monitor and maintain the Twin Falls Area systems and networks, install new clients as well as provide answers to clients by identifying problems; researching and guiding clients through corrective steps.
The responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Ensure maximum service availability and performance 24/7
Monitor and maintain core infrastructure and services
Provide support for our ISP clients.
Manage local contacts at the direction of the Management Team in Clarkston, WA.
Install Infrastructure to build and expand the network in the Magic Valley as well as install Client Premise Equipment for new Clients.
Skills/Qualification Required:
Superior written and verbal customer service support ability
Solid understanding of TCP/IP and related matters (for example, you should be able to say how many hosts are in a given subnet without resorting to pen and paper)
At least a moderate understanding of common computer hardware (can switch out a hard drive, upgrade RAM, etc.)
Basic understanding of VOIP, email, DNS, HTTP, and wireless access points
Ability to work nights/weekends.
Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.
Must be able to lift 50lbs and climb ladders and towers as well as use power and hand tools.
Must have a valid drivers license.
Preferred Experience/Qualification:
Working knowledge of one or more programming languages preferred:
Experience with any of the following: Active Directory, postfix, dovecot, RADIUS, rsync, QOS, OSPF, mikrotik, cisco, embedded linux appliances, wireless backhaul, Ubiquiti wireless products, Multicast Routing, PIM Routting and satellite communications.
