The Sales Engineer-West Coast will play an integral role in supporting the world’s largest and most successful gas pump and related industry technologies company. Today, we use cutting-edge technologies to drive the industry forward through state-of-the-art innovations.Your Key Responsibilities:As a skilled sales professional, you will be part of a high performing team that understands the importance of relationship building and cultural awareness while delivering results. You will manage relationships with the customers, distributors, and contractors for Gilbarco Veeder-Root to accomplish your sales quota in your assigned region/accounts.Your Key Responsibilities:Prospect, research and acquire new business, focusing on organizational and assigned objectives

Expand portfolio product sales to existing accounts

Meet/exceed designated sales quota for the assigned territory while owning the relationships with key customers and distributors

Maintain a robust Sales funnel, report, and provide feedback to management using CRM.

Present and demo products with customers and distributors across the Region to promote existing and new products

Build and execute a strategic territory plan to grow market share and drive product specifications with end customers

Conduct quarterly business reviews with key distributor principals

Communicate and promote Gilbarco principles, values, goals, objectives, programs and key strategic initiatives with distributors and customers

Compile and analyze information on customers, competitors, and economic temperature, while reporting key drivers back to the business

Manage the territory through inputting all sales related data into salesforce.com. This includes scheduling and logging sales calls, managing assigned accounts and distributors by reporting key activities and updates

Maintaining an active funnel of qualified opportunities on all product lines, forecasting sales, and managing sales execution

Work in conjunction with leadership to manage price and profitability in the territory

Build strong internal relationships with peers in the sales organization and within other departments at Gilbarco Veeder-Root

Actively support Aftermarket Operations as it pertains to product positioning, demonstration, configuration, fulfillment of all assigned product lines.

Engage with Sales Leadership as the technical product expert with a focus on end-user engagement.

Coordinate with field sales team to execute on strategic plans to achieve revenue goals within assigned territory and assigned accounts.

Develop and execute plans to drive development and specification of assigned products at end-users and channel partners.

Understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary. Establish customer rapport and acceptance.

Conduct product demonstrations and training sessions to support field sales activities.

Be the champion for customer problem resolution as it pertains to assigned product capabilities, configuration, and performance.

Utilize Salesforce to coordinate and manage field level activities.

Be a continuous and active advocate for end-users within the Aftermarket Operations organization.

Act as an extension of the Product Marketing Team to gather customer insight and VOC.

Assisting with the development and implementation of a process that increases end-user engagement at established and targeted accounts.

Coordinate with the marketing team to develop sales training programs to support TSM’s, channel partners, customers, and service technicians.

You are an energetic individual who thrives is a customer focused environment. You are relationship driven with both internal peers and external customers and distributors. You enjoy taking ownership and driving tasks to resolution with strong motivation to win. You have a self-starter mentality and have solid organizational, planning, training, and communication skills.A Bachelor’s Degree is preferred

Located on the West Coast

7 years sales experience is preferred and in a After Market / Spare parts business is highly desirable

Willing to travel 50-70%
