SSAS/ETL Design Engineer - Alsip, IL - Full time perm $115-125KSummary: We are looking for a Sr. Systems Analyst to join our team. You should be at an expert level with SSAS in modeling data in Tabular Models or OLAP cubes.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Proven experience with SSAS and expert level in modeling Tabular models or OLAP cubes. Exhibit a firm grasp of BI implementation methodologies and an in-depth knowledge of, and experience with, the Microsoft BI Stack SSAS, SSIS, and SSRS.Direct quality assurance and user acceptance testing by writing test plans and managing the execution of testing (Unit and UAT)Share in team ongoing 2nd/3rd level technical support for supported applications and environments supported by the Information management and Shared Services team.For example, HRIS, Time and Attendance, Educational systems, Compensation planning, Goal and Career planning, Payroll, Costing, Pricing and Sales ReportingCollaborate with other teams within the organization and be able to devise the technical solution as it relates to the business & technical requirementsCreate written communication materials that effectively summarize findings and support recommendationsConduct basic project leadershipDevelop project plans and provide time estimates on related project workCreate and follow timelinesCommunicate project status(s) within ITMentor colleagues and be proactive in developing colleague skill sets to have a better understanding of Analysis Services, particularly Data Presentation.

Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in systems related field or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in database design and/or business analysis with strong skills in analytics and OLAP cube and Tabular Model development.Minimum of 3 years of experience using Microsoft business intelligence stack to produce analytics and reporting capabilities.Technical experience includes the following:SQL Relational Database and SQL LanguageMicrosoft SQL Analysis Server with MDX/DAX experienceNice to Have:Report Development (Microsoft SSRS)Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) (Microsoft SSIS)Dimensional Modeling (Kimball Methodology)Skills and behaviors needed to teach, tailor messaging, and—when necessary—to assert control during interactions with business partners. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and adjust communication style by medium and audience.Experience supporting manufacturing or product development environments a plus.Distribution, Finance, Manufacturing, Inventory, Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, Capital Asset Management, Pricing and Job CostingExperience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or D365 for Finance & Operations a plus.
