Maintain and participate in safety programs throughout the plant.

Achieve and maintain 5S in personal and assigned work areas.

Lead continuous improvement programs such as developing element tree and work instructions in support of standardization.

Develop cost estimates to be used in the quotation process for one product line, print or thermoformed products. Understanding and regulating all costing inputs. Works closely with all functional areas (Purchasing, Technical, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Marketing), areas to maximize accuracy.

Participate and improve accuracy through calibration exercises with other analysts.

Performs single customer and multi-item analysis.

Performs single customer and multi-item estimates.

Monitors reports to understand and improve variance between the initial costing assumptions compared to the final costing of the product, variance between expected margins and actual margins.

Develop and update escalators to support raw material changes.

Update ERP price files as appropriate.

Support and utilize division ERP system as appropriate for achieving above expectations.

Lead process improvement programs.

Have a working knowledge of the manufacturing process.

Support and drive customer driven Supply Chain initiatives.

Manage and track non-disclosure agreements.

Maintain project information in product data management software

Complete and manage customer surveys and questionnaires

This position is in our Sonoco Alloyd business unit located in Batavia, Illinois

Education/Experience: Two year degree, Certification or four years of relevant business experience. Printing and/or thermoforming background, a plus.

Language Ability: Excellent leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and customer service skills; Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers

Reasoning Ability: Good interpersonal communication, organization & keyboarding skills, required. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Strong capacity for leading change, dealing with ambiguity and providing creative solutions

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have working knowledge and use of Microsoft Project, Power Point, Access, MS Word, and proficiency in Excel.

Other: Demonstrated ability to multitask in a very fast paced environment and to prioritize and manage multiple projects with minimal direction. Demonstrated ability to develop strong working collaborative relationships with a broad range of individuals across functions, up to the Executive level. Knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication processes. Ability to read drawings and specifications.
