The Quality Specialist (Quality Systems Specialist ) is responsible for maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS) and the compliance with applicable standards and regulatory requirements with the support of the Director of Quality. While doing this task, achieving quality, cost and delivery objectives for assigned projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are issued, implemented, verified and closed within set timeframes
- Manage QMS and technical documentation and ensure proper retention of records and documents
- Create, update, and/or review QMS related documents, in collaboration with process owners
- Organize internal and external audits for QMS
- Produce various reports and statistics required by the regulatory authorities and communicate
- Work on special projects with regards to organization’s orientations (reports, statistics, etc.).
- Keep work area clean, organized, and free from clutter.
- Other duties as assigned.
- College degree in documentation technique or equivalent engineering field.
- Minimum of 3 years of practical experience with a Quality Management System.
- 1 year manufacturing experience in tight tolerance production.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Word and Excel.
- Capacity to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Ability to effectively complete complex tasks.
- Demonstrated capacity to easily adapt to changing priorities and timelines.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to learn quickly and have high attention to detail.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts as business need dictates.
- Practical experience in a regulated industry.
- Knowledge of international standards such as ISO 9001 or AS9100
