Our Enterprise Technology department is seeking experienced UX Generalists to work within our Digital Experience area. As a UX Generalist you will have an understanding of UX design and architecture principles and a strategic mind to apply them in creating clean, simple, intuitive and branded experiences. Our team collaborates with business partners and other UX teams to create innovative experiences for agents, contact centers, claims and underwriting associates as well as State Farm customers. As a UX Generalist, you will take a user centered design approach to identify user needs, conduct research, and build solutions.

We're looking for someone who:
  • Has a passion for creating magical experiences and conceptually smart products that make people smile.
  • Is familiar with CX principles, personas, journey mapping, empathy mapping and other UX processes.
  • Can join a cross-disciplinary team of UX practitioners and contribute to the design of high-level experience concepts and creation of detailed UX/UI solutions.
  • Is a clear communicator while working with teams across the State Farm ecosystem.
  • Creates digital visuals that are consistent with the State Farm brand and strategy.
  • Articulates User Experience (UX) concepts and solutions and advocates for customer-centric designs.
  • Works as part of a team to execute on digital experience projects - from concept through to production

Incumbency: This position will have a 18-month incumbency period, beginning on the effective date of the position, which must be met before the employee can post for any other lateral State Farm position. Employees may be considered for leadership or Technology Engineer openings at any time, and a promotional position within the same job structure (i.e. Professional/Technical or Paraprofessional/Support) after 6 months from the effective date of the position. In these cases, the remaining incumbency would be waived. The incumbency period does not affect the at-will relationship between State Farm and the employee and does not create an employment contract, nor contractual rights.

  • 3+ years' experience with the following tools: Sketch, Photoshop, InVision, Figma and Mural.
