Responsibilities

The Location Services Team is seeking a full stack software engineer to add to our team!

The Location Services team works with the enterprise to educate on the value of

Geospatial Technologies. Geospatial Technologies are advancing at a rapid pace. This is an opportunity to work on the team that is shaping the future of Geospatial Technologies at State Farm. Our services provide a comprehensive platform that includes maps, searching, geolocation and analytics which provides the resources for business partners to make informed decisions. Our team is looking for someone to help work on our internally built mapping portal. This individual would be responsible for implementing new features and maintaining current features within the portal. This includes testing, technical support, and meeting with customers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Applies advanced understanding of product design, data design and movement and test to ensure quality outcomes
  • Conducts research and integrate industry best practices into processes and potential solutions
  • Experience in working with a multitude of different customers and converting business needs into technical stories
  • Ability to collaborate and build relationships locally & across locations
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal & written

Qualifications

Desired Skills:
  • Programming Language Experience
  • Python
  • JavaScript
  • SQL
  • Experience in building/designing geospatial applications and datasets
  • Knowledge with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Git & CI/CD Pipelines
  • Strong experience supporting teams on:
    • problem and issue resolution
    • technical consultation
    • direction to business and product team members

Nice to have skills:
  • Django/FastAPI
  • VueJS
  • PostgreSQL/PostGIS
