Responsibilities

P&C Claims is looking for a Technical Architect to be a part of a product suite that develops and supports Core Digital Claims Capabilities such as Loss Reporting, Rental, Tow and Telematics for claims Enterprise Technology. This role will allow you to:
  • Modernize ET P&C Claims by migrating current applications codebase as part of our cloud computing journey utilizing an AWS platform.
  • Lead Salesforce architecture and have a direct impact of State Farm's System of Engagement for claims capabilities.
  • Modernize ET P&C Claims Enterprise Claims System to a new Modern Associate Experience through the use of the listed skills desired.
  • Utilize Java developing skills to understand, enhance, update, and mature the current Enterprise Claims System.

Your Responsibilities May Include:
  • Working across multiple systems of engagement to identify opportunities for improvement and introduce reuse and automation that spans multiple claims capabilities.
  • Champions an innovative mind set to deliver AWS cloud native solutions
  • Leads strategic work across the product and/or suite and utilizes application architecture to increase efficiency and effectiveness of complex issues
  • Provides highest level of support for problem and issue resolution
  • Influences and provides direction on product development practices, coding, data and testing standards, code reviews and software architecture
  • Conducts research and integrate industry best practices into processes and potential solutions

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have Experience/Knowledge with the following technologies:

• Salesforce• AWS• Java• Ivy/Maven languages

We Are Looking For Candidates With:

• A growth mindset to help establish new system of engagement architectural patterns for future associate facing features in our loss reporting and managing your claim capabilities that reside on Salesforce.• Async/Sync Integration patterns off the Salesforce platform (primarily with AWS), Apex/LWC best practices, UI architecture best practices, Salesforce Connectors on AWS, etc.• Experience using industry tools, frameworks, and languages such as Python, JavaScript, React, Node.js, GoLang, SQL, Scala, Spring, Spark, etc.• Experience with building, implementing, and maintaining multi-tier cloud-native applications.• Experience using AWS core services (IAM, KMS, S3, Lambda, DynamoDB, Aurora, Route 53, etc.)• Ability to use Terraform or a related Infrastructure as Code technology to manage Infrastructure• Certifications; AWS and HashiCorp a plus• Ability to create pipelines/automation to deploy changes to production with quality and DevOps best practices• Ability to quickly adapt and thrive in a changing, highly collaborative agile team environment• Strong aptitude to learn new languages and frameworks• Experience supporting applications, including troubleshooting, logging, and observability (Splunk, Datadog, CloudWatch, Dynatrace)

This is a "Hybrid" position, which means selected candidates will be assigned to a facility and will spend some time working both in office and from their home.
