Location: Remote or Bloomington, IL occasional travel to Bloomington will be required (travel/lodging paid if non-local) Duration: Full-Time/Permanent Salary: negotiable, 120-150k total comp range (base+bonus) Some flex, and/or additional bonuses, salary increases based on level of candidate

Notes: web stack utilizes Angular single page applications connecting to a Firestore database. Utilizes Google Cloud Functions and other Google Cloud Platform technologies to run event-driven and backend services. Primary programming language is Typescript. Most important skills:
  • Full Stack Development roles - proficient web devs as well as services.
  • Angular is ideal / React is okay - Want to make sure that this is explained that Angular is what we use but if they have experience with React we feel that they can learn Angular pretty quickly.
  • Familiarity and experience writing web applications (using Angular, React, TypeScript).
  • Experience writing services on a server with RestAPIs.
  • Familiarity with Agile SDLC.
  • Prefer the Sr. Software Engineer to have experience as a lead developer or team lead - doesn't necessarily need to be management or supervisor experience

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will work with a small self-directed team focused on building full-stack software solutions to meet corporate and client needs. You will identify, implement, maintain, and support software solutions for all end users. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create, maintain, and enhance well designed, complex applications that are fast-loading, easy to navigate, mobile friendly, accessible, simple and intuitive
  • Work cooperatively with a variety of groups including Software Engineering team members, company personnel, and clients
  • Plan, coordinate, and track your work in tandem with team members to meet project goals
  • Integrate collaborative coding practices daily while utilizing version control and issue tracking solutions
  • Communicate with clients and team members on a regular basis
  • Proactively forecast upcoming needs, track and apply needed changes across all client solutions
  • Meet all product and support goals within designated project deadlines
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve issues with company and client applications; communicate resolution to affected individuals
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding to client requests and complaints in a friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable manner
  • Seek out and take advantage of the latest technology solutions to strengthen performance
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Front End / User Interface Development Experience (e.g. Angular with Typescript, RxJS, Responsive UI Design)
  • Backend / API Development Experience (e.g. Google Cloud Platform, NodeJS, REST API, Event-Driven Systems, Firestore)
  • Developer Workflow and Methodologies Experience (e.g. Git/GitLab/GitHub, Product Management, Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work on a team
  • Ability to receive and provide critique respectfully
  • Time management skills, specifically ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work
  • General business insight, empathy, and the ability to understand business challenges to relate to clients
  • Ability to clearly explain technical information to non-technical individuals
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 7 years of professional programming experience
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • 10+ years of professional programming experience
