OverviewWorks on the design of control systems for material handling solutions, helping the engineering team in developing device layout drawings, control schematics, PLC logic and implement solutions which deliver exceptional value to our customers.Responsibilities
Designs system layouts and I/O schematics, and integrates control devices
Creates a control sequence of operation document to ensure that the design meets customer requirements
Prepares schematics and specifications for control panel fabrication
Provides documentation and support to the field wiring team
Creates Programmable Logic Control programs
Develops industrial graphics that allow the display of system status and alarms
Performs on-site commissioning to implement and validate the system design
Aids in transitioning systems to customers for system go-live
Travels as needed
Qualifications
Working toward a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Controls Engineering
Experience with material handling industry or robotics a plus
Proficient in AutoCAD; working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced results-oriented environment
Ability to learn the material handling business and assist across teams and divisions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Self-motivated and detail-oriented
Creative thinking and problem-solving skills
Strong team orientation
Ability to learn new technology
