This technical position will be the point of contact for our Grocery Point of Sale (POS) system customers when they call in with technical computer system/software/network issues. This position is located out of our Burr Ridge, IL office. Hours: mainly 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday Job responsibilities: · IT troubleshoot and resolve at least 75% of escalated technical IT issues dealing with grocery store computer based cash register systems (i.e. networking, software applications, PC’s, scanners/scales, printers, pin pads, routers, access points, etc.) · Document new IT system problems/solutions in our knowledge base · Make minor IT database and programming changes to the Grocery POS software applications (front end software and back office software) · Perform credit card change of services (COS), virtual technician (VT) installations, McAfee antivirus installations, and install/configure other programs as assigned by the Department Manager · Troubleshoot general IT issues – internet, network, printing, performance, etc. · Provide friendly and professional, internal and external customer service at all times · Keep current on new and existing grocery and hospitality equipment and software; attend in-house and product specific training when requested · Work efficiently in high call volume and pressure situations · Will require sitting for long periods of time Requirements: · Prior technical call center experience or POS software troubleshooting is preferred · 2+ year technical degree or experience in IT, Computer system and/or network education/experience required · SQL and database experience is a plus · Excellent communication (verbal, written and listening), problem-solving, multi-tasking and data entry skills · Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office · Grocery, Restaurant, Hotel, or Hospitality experience strongly desired · Must be highly self-motivated, patient, proactive and have a strong work ethic · A valid driver’s license, proof of auto insurance and clean driving record We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes: · Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) · Paid Time Off (PTO) · Health Insurance · Dental Insurance · Vision Plan · Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) · 401(k) with match · Life Insurance · Computer Purchase Program · And more!
