Kelly Services is seeking an Purchasing Associate for our well-known client in the Manufacturing industry in Burr Ridge IL. The ideal candidate would have a Bachelor's degree or an Associate Degree plus a minimum 2 years of engineering experience in Purchasing and/or invoice processing functions. This is a 6-month contract role with a possibility of extension.JOB TITLE: Purchasing AssociateWORK LOCATION: Burr Ridge ILDURATION: 6 MonthsJOB DESCRIPTION:Position SummaryThe Outsourcing Support works in a global and cross-functional environment to support all aspects of the Product Development Outsourcing process, collaborating with Product Engineering, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable.Responsibilities Include:

Process all purchase requisitions correctly and completely in a timely manner, following established processes

Review and monitor the Outsourcing Services Tracking (OST) Tool for Goods Receipt Number (GRN) processing and create receipts in SAP

Serve as the central point of contact for on-boarding of outsourcing resources in North America.

Recommend changes/improvements to the outsourcing services process, as necessary, to develop the optimal process for all locations.

Member of the North American Outsourcing Group, attending meetings as required.

Be aware of any system enhancements, new training opportunities, user issues, processes, etc.

Provide additional support to North American team as needed to ensure the efficient and timely completion of specific project milestones.

Immediately escalate to manager any issues that may affect outsourcing processes and procedures.

Responsible for managing their invoice workflow list in SAP and solving issues to ensure suppliers are paid in a timely manner

Requirements to Succeed:

A Bachelor's degree or an Associate Degree plus a minimum 2 years of engineering experience in Purchasing and/or invoice processing functions

Self-motivated and self-directed.

Advanced user in Office applications

Fluency in English with strong written and oral communication skills.

Strong problem solver with solid analytical skills

Detailed oriented, with high level of accuracy

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in and knowledge of Services Purchasing and Accounts Payable

Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) issues, problems, and observations of work being performed.

Demonstrated ability to work with cross discipline teams as well as being a strong individual contributor.

Ability to work with minimal supervision managing multiple projects and tasks

Leadership & team working ability, excellent relationship skills.
