Job Description

The Systems Administrator will assist in providing a comprehensive systems support function for the companys HQ and home offices. The goal is to maintain the highest level of system and operational efficiency possible.Responsibilities: Provide 1st level user support for Lomas personal computers, supporting both hardware and software applications, at end user offices across North America. Ensure end users/customers are provided professional, courteous, and timely support and service. Maintain all aspects of the operations of information and functional systems for the organization including software applications, servers, network, phone systems, end user computers and mobile devices. Support the Loma Systems ongoing ERP transition to MS Dynamics 365, and provide 1st level support as required. Communicate regularly and effectively with various departments of the organization to fully understand user needs/requests and translate those into IT related processes/outputs. Ensure the security of all data from unauthorized access, including but not limited to: firewalls, intrusion detection systems, desktop policies, remote access authentication, data access monitoring, encryption, change procedures, passwords, virus protection, backup and destruction procedures. Provide escalated support in the usage and maintenance of software programs and hardware. Develop and maintain disaster recovery plan. Provide user training on system related processes as required. Drive improvement of both existing and new IT processes such as change management, release management and incident management. Collaborate with peers in the Loma UK office and other ITW Divisions to seek and exploit cross-Divisional leverage opportunities where applicable. Use the ITW Toolbox to analyze the Divisions workflows and identify simplification opportunities. Applies 80/20 principles to ensure focus on top priorities. In addition to the duties listed above, the position holder must carry out tasks assigned by their supervisor that are essentially related to their duties.

Qualifications

Essential: High school diploma required. Minimum 2 years of experience working in the IT field. Good understanding of user workstation technology, printing, computer networks and user support. Experience with physical and virtual servers. Previous experience with SQL database basic administration. Ability to investigate problems to a successful resolution. Adaptability and flexibility with a willingness to change priorities at a moments notice. Ability to stay calm and respond positively under significant pressure. Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional teams and vendor partners. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Self-driven fast learner on new systems and technology. Desirable: Bachelors degree in Information Technology or similar field preferred. Detailed knowledge of servers and LAN and WAN infrastructure. Database and ERP knowledge, to support data analysis.
