Monarch Investment and Management Group is looking for a Bookkeeper and Collections Specialist to join our team at the Town and Country Apartments in Urbana. Monarch is a top 50 (20th) multifamily owner in the country and privately owned since 1992. We currently manage over 55,800 apartments in twenty two states, in addition to a nationally franchised hotel and a ski and snowboard resort.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists PM with posting, collecting, tracking and managing delinquency of rental and other income
Assist PM with processing all invoices generated by the property
Consistently attempts to collect “Bad Debt” prior to write offs
Assist PM with evictions related to no rent payments
Assists PM with property financial operation reporting
Assists PM in ensuring adherence to all Monarch policies and procedures by the property team
Ensure desired tenant renewals are being captured at the highest rate possible
Assists PM in keeping, recording and organizing records and files based on company and legal requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience required:
High school diploma or equivalent
1+ years’ experience in Bookkeeping or equivalent
Multi-family housing preferred
Must have excellent computer skills and be able to navigate industry software
General knowledge of local, state and federal resident/property management laws/guidelines
Excellent problem solving skills
