Job Requirements:
  • A./B.S. in Information Management Systems or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of Windows Server Administration experience.
  • 1+ years of Windows PowerShell scripting proficiency is required.
  • Snow License Manager or similar Software Asset Management software experience is a plus, not required.

Department Information: The IT Asset Management Team (ITAM) at the client integrates the physical, technological, contractual, and financial aspects of information technology assets (hardware & software) which includes the following responsibilities:
  • Control inventory that is purchased and used.
  • Reduce the cost of purchasing and managing assets.
  • Select the proper tools for managing assets.
  • Manage the asset life cycle from planning to disposal.
  • Achieve compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
  • Improve IT service to end users.
  • Create standards and processes for managing assets.

Role Information:
  • As part of ITAM’s Software Asset Management Program, we are expanding the rollout of Snow from the desktop environment to our server estate.
  • We require assistance with managing the Snow’s infrastructure and ensuring that Snow recognizes all applications installed across our infrastructure fleet.
  • Consolidating assets across multiple Snow instances, will also be a critical component of this role. In addition, we need assistance with supporting and maintaining our other asset tracking systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage Snow Software infrastructure
  • Maintain day to day operations of Snow infrastructure on Windows Servers
  • Manage recognition rules for internal and missing 3rd party applications
  • Compare application datasets with other sources
  • Enhance functionality as environment changes
  • Serve as the technical owner of ITAM systems
  • Optimize data
  • Troubleshoot technical issues
  • Coordinate system updates
  • Participate in projects to onboard new technologies as the industry evolves
