Our small, elite tutoring firm seeks to add one talented, committed, part-time tutor to our roster. Our tutors work with students on academic support, test prep for all types of exams, and college admissions guidance throughout the North Shore of Chicago as well as around the world online.

We are currently seeking a tutor who has the expertise to tutor all sections of the ACT and SAT. The ideal candidate has already taught in the classroom or tutored these tests to students in the past.

Our tutors generally work with students 1-to-1 in their homes in the Chicago North Shore suburbs (Evanston, Wilmette, Winnetka, Kenilworth, Highland Park, Lake Forest, Deerfield, Glenview, Glencoe, Northfield, etc). Our tutors typically start out by working with one or two students per week, and if all goes well, increase their commitments over time. Many of our longest-standing tutors have been with the company for up to 10 years and work with many students per week.

To be considered for this position, you must:

1. Be a graduate of a highly selective college or university, or in graduate school at a highly selective university

2. Have teaching or tutoring experience in your relevant field (including test prep for the ACT or SAT)

3. Be willing to travel to students' homes in Chicago or the North Shore on afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends

4. Care deeply about education and empowering your students to reach their goals

5. Communicate effectively not only with students but also with parents and other tutors

6. Be punctual, reliable, committed, enthusiastic, and professional

Compensation is excellent at begins at $50/hour, with rates rising considerably as tutors gain experience.
