Our client, one of the largest banks in the US with wealth management, investment banking, and international business, is seeking an Application Architect II

Location: Chicago, IL

Position Type: Contract

Job Summary:

The candidate is expected to work closely with the team members, business stakeholders and other technology partners to successfully identify, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain process automation solutions, specifically

Work with the end users to understand the problem statement, analyze the issue with process reengineering mindset and articulate analytic or automation requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

-Collaborate with business partners to document requirements.

-Produce rapid prototypes to explore practicality of use cases and propose an appropriate solution.

-Employ agile development practices and continuous deployment to develop effective business solutions based on the business needs.

-Integrate automation solutions into business partners processes and procedures.

-Ensure the automated solution meets enterprise guidelines and compliance.

-Source data from various data repositories, validate data for consistency, and partner with Technology teams to ensure data integrity.

-Demonstrate understanding of system design, ETL and data ingestion techniques.

-Conduct issue discovery discussions with business partners, troubleshoot problems and identify solutions that maintain or enhance the automation solution.

-Interacts extensively with internal or external contacts to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex problems.

-Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to produce model management documentation.

Requirements:

-Masters or higher degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics/Data Science or related quantitative discipline.

-At least 5 years of industry experience.

-Minimum 2 years of Experience with Python and Data Science or Intelligent Process Automation projects.

-Experience with Natural Language Processing and Optical Character Recognition techniques.

-Experience with both SQL and noSQL database technologies.

-Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret large amounts of information and conceptualize the impact across operational processes.

-Solid understanding of BI, Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Facts/Dimensions, and Data Requirements from multiple stakeholders.

-Proficiency in Excel VBA and Data visualization skills using BI tools to develop or enhance reports.

-Excellent communication & knowledge of operational processes.

-Model documentation experience preferred.

-Experience with Intelligent Process Automation platforms such as WorkFusion or UiPath is a plus.
