Our client, an insurance company, is seeking a Python/Automation Data Engineer
Location: Remote Position Type: Contract Technical Skills:- Strong Python skills(someone who can write efficient code that will test well in a production environment/They will do their own Unit Testing).
- Any Python experience with Pandas or NumPy or equivalent would be a big plus. Basic RESTful API experience would be a help. How to use Request to make calls. How to parse XML.
- Proficient SQL background - SQL database connections such as getting the ODBC driver working if that becomes an issue; efficient joins, database table build (any relational DB)
- Command Line familiarity in both Linux and Windows
- AWS - S3 EC2 (some experience or class taken)
- Heavy Data Wrangling - ETL based data manipulation, cleansing, extraction, transformation and normalization etc.
- Automation tools like Kron, Jenkins
